Arborvitae “Green Giant” The Green Giant is a thick, dense Evergreen tree that can grow 3 to 5 feet per year once established. Easily grows into a thick, compact privacy screen, and can quickly screen out neighbors or unsightly areas without taking up a lot of yard space. Green Giants grow in a uniform shape and height so you get that classic French Renaissance look without having to prune or shear. The Green Giant has bright green, fern-like foliage. They are used extensively for borders, screens, windbreaks or as an accent tree. When used as a hedge, the Green Giant can be trimmed and kept to a dense 6 foot hedge. They grow best in full sun or partial shade. Mature trees reach up to 30 ft. tall and 10 ft. wide. These trees are about 16-18” tall and very dense with a great shape.
