Old Man’s Beard Tree

Also known as White Fringe Tree or China Snow, these amazing little trees will be the highlight of your yard!  Their blooms are absolutely amazing and the foliage is gorgeous!  The bountiful spring blooms of the Old Man’s Beard tree qualify this plant as one of North America's most beautiful small flowering trees.

This hardy tree grows as a shrub or small tree from 10 to 18 feet and displays its beautiful show of flowers around Mothers Day each year.  The Old Man’s Beard tree features medium to dark green lustrous foliage in summer, bright golden yellow in fall, and very beautiful white, fragrant flowers borne on 6–8" long, fine fleecy, soft textured panicles in May to early June.  After blooming the tree produces magnificent concord grape blue fruits in clusters. The fruits are attractive to a variety of wildlife, including many songbirds, white-tailed deer, quail, and turkeys.ringe trees grow slowly, but begin to blossom when they are only 2 to 4 feet high. Large (6 to 8 inch), pendant clusters of fragrant, white flowers open right after the leaves unfurl. These flower clusters look like fringe hanging on the tree, thus the common name Fringe Tree.

These trees are about 2-3 feet tall. Trees will be shipped bare root with moist material around their roots.
