Variegated Japanese Sedge Grass Carex morrowii 'Aurea-variegata' Great pond plants! This grass is a great choice for the edges of a fish pond or water garden. It will grow in sun or shade! Japanese sedge grass is a clumping, evergreen sedge, with silver white variegation. It is great for ground cover, rock gardens and mass plantings. The sedge likes shady, moist places and reaches 1 to 2 feet tall. It is cold hardy to about -20 degrees F. This grass is very striking as an accent plant or groundcover. It can be useful on the edge of the water garden but dislikes complete submersion. It is an evergreen and creates interest in the garden all year long.
